Frida and Mexico

Burlap, canvas, pom poms, tassels, ric rac, colour, colour, colour! All these bags have a common theme - you can feel the siesta or fiesta!

Bohemian Hippie Chick

Patchwork, pom poms, tassels, leather, fringing. It is relaxed and groovy. Chill out at the next festival, market day, community fair or just shopping at our local mall. Sling it over your shoulders, cross body or just carry it in your hands.

Day Bags or any occasion

Wool and wool blend fabrics tend to feature quite significantly here. Some of these bags are true blue Aussie inspired bags. Classy and romantic not simply because many of these bags used recycled pure Australian wool blankets and a touch of Australian leather and hide.

Still influenced by Frida Kahlo, Mexico, various other Ethnic cultures and of course the wonderful Australian landscape, keep an eye out for weekly updates to each collection and more.

Custom Orders

What would you like?

Custom orders are challenging and fun. Lillybelle wanted a beach bag. Her specifications were lots of colour, suitable for the beach, coloured tassels, a sturdy zip and no pompoms. Bela Cigana sent Lillybelle a photo of the bag for her approval before wrapping and sending. With much thanks she sent back some photos. Send us a photo of you with your new Bela Cigana bag to post on this website!
Staff gifts, bridesmaid presents! You could have a collection of bags made for the special people in your life.

Beach Bags

Influenced by the Sea and the Australian Summer

Burlap is such a sturdy, strong and durable fabric. It looks great, it is fun to work with and it supports quite a bit of weight. Canvas fabrics also work well for durability and colour. Just because Bela Cigana called it a beach bag doesn't mean you can't take it everywhere else!

Totes and day bags
